POVERTY
One of life's saddest commentaries involves the tragic stories of people who lived in abject poverty, heirs to a huge fortune they never knew about, dying without ever enjoying the wealth that was rightfully theirs.
EPHESIANS 2:5 says, "Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved)..."
COLOSSIANS 2:13 says, "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses..."
QUICKENED
The phrase, "...quickened together with...", is one word in the Greek (sunzōopoiéō), 4806, from (sún), 4862, "together with", and (zōopoiéō), 2227, "to make alive, quicken". It means, "to make alive together with someone", or, "to cause someone to rise up, or wake up, with another"; "to reanimate conjointly". The Greek word actually contains three compound words: (sun), 4806 "together with"; ( zōē ), 2180, "life"; and (poieō), 4020, "to make".
FASCINATING
What is fascinating is that this process occurred before we received new life in Christ, while we were 'dead' in our sins. "God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). In other words, everyone, not just us, was raised up together with Christ. When He rose, the worst sinner rose to life, but the actual manifestation of that reality is never experienced until the individual embraces that truth, and then the transformation occurs.
BENEFIT
Every benefit purchased through the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, is available to the whole world, but only those who choose to receive the free gift of life will ever have the potential to experience the fullness of fellowship and the rights of their inheritance that already belong to them.

You are God's Best and God's Best is Yours
