You have to BE before you can DO and you have to DO before you can HAVE (Matthew 12:33; Luke 6:44)

BE before you can DO & DO before you can HAVE

You have to BE before you can DO and you have to DO before you can HAVE

Normally, with rare exception, I don't engage in anything outside of strictly word studies on this page, however, this moment of inspiration seemed to merit some consideration, for the millions who find themselves in wonder of why their lives don't exist with more meaning and purpose. Hopefully it will be an encouragement, and perhaps a ray of revelation for those bewildered by why life is not changing or improving for them.

HOW WE VIEW

One of the most fundamental flaws in humanity is how we view God, our Father, and how we view ourselves. Most, if not all the problems of the world would be solved, if people saw God for who He really is, and saw themselves for who they are. The age old struggle facing every teen, as they try to grasp the reality of their purpose, is trying to find meaning in their existence. Through junior high and high school, young adolescence asks: Who am I; Where did I come from; Why am I here; and What, if anything, is beyond this fragile phase of life?

UNFORTUNATELY

Unfortunately, evolution, and other spawn of perverted and corrupted philosophy, is more than willing to offer demonically inspired, hopeless answers, to crucially valid questions. The result is that the majority drift aimlessly on the sea of life; settling for less; resting in the nonproductive resolve, that we are products of chance and evolution spinning through space on this frail ball, waiting for both it and us, to eventually burnout, and return to whatever by-product we emerged from.

FAULTY CONCEPTS

This hopeless adventure is not confined to unbelievers, as the devil has duped the majority of Christians with the same lie, through self condemnation; legalism; and purposeless existence. Statistically, even 70% of pastors see themselves as ineffective; not producing any real change; growth; or long term results, in their vocation. The result, of course, is that these pastors do not become effective or fulfilled, because, like the majority of the world population, they do not see themselves as they really are, for they too suffer from faulty concepts of God, their Father, and faulty concepts of who they really are.

ZIG ZIGLAR

Zig Ziglar, who was one of the top motivational speakers in the world, and a dynamic Christian believer, said, "You cannot consistently perform in a manner that is inconsistent with the way you see yourself!" One of his other notable maxims, was, "You've got to BE, before you can DO, and you've got to DO, before you can Have". In other words, gaining a better lifestyle; better physical shape, through exercise and eating habits; or changing bad behaviors into good; all of these endeavors stem from FIRST changing how you SEE yourself. If you can change the image of yourself on the inside, then the outer workings of that reality, will become a natural consequence in your life.

WHO YOU ARE

The potently powerful word of God, is the only thing that paints the true picture of who you are; who God is; and who God is IN YOU, to give power and purpose to your destiny. That is why it is so crucial for you to understand who you are, in Christ, and to live every aspect of your life, from that revelation. Even in churches, too many preachers and pastors, impose their own self condemnation and failure infested philosophy, thinking they are presenting the incorruptible word, when their actions and words negate the power of the scriptures.

RESULTS

Jesus said, "You will know them by their fruit" (Matt.12:33; Lk.6:44). In other words, good or bad, what is being produced, is the vision and faith, of the leader. If there is vibrant growth and expansion; development and hope; people fulfilling their dreams and destiny, then that is the "fruit" of that church and leader. Negatively, if the church is stagnant; recessive; losing numbers; routine and continuing in the same flow, year after year, without reasonable growth, in reasonable time; that is the "fruit", vision and faith of that pastor or leader, that is producing those results, and the results won't change until the leadership changes, and begins to tap into how God sees them and adopt His means and methods of production.

INEFFECTIVE

The reason 70% of pastors see themselves as ineffective, is because 70% of pastors are ineffective! More to the point, the reason they are ineffective is their concept of God, how they see God, and how they see themselves. His word; His will and destiny, for them, is skewed, and until they change the way they see themselves, and the God inside them, their church will continue to faulter, and their ministry will be a failure, outside of God's will and control. You have to BE, before you can Do...meaning you have to change the way you see yourself, and that will change your actions....you have to DO before you can Have...when your actions change, because your inner image has changed, then you will HAVE...different; positive; productive results.

This may seem too simplistic, but it is profoundly powerful, and for the most part, the only ones that will try to negate the truth of these words, are those who are seeking excuses to justify the failure that plagues them, rather than grasping the truth that will free them.

You are God's Best and God's Best is Yours
