WALDO
Many parents have spent hours with their children, with the still popular children's book "Where's Waldo". Somewhere on each page, the tiny figure of Waldo has been drawn and colored, amid a couple hundred other figures, that look like, but aren't Waldo. The task is to try and locate Waldo among all the other colored drawings, and hopefully, enjoy the adventurous journey along the way.
SENSITIVE
Very enviable, are the couples who have spent time with each other, and through the seasons, have grown to appreciate one another; respect one another; and have developed an almost uncanny ability to seemingly "read" each other's minds; to the point where they begin to engage in activities before their spouse even requests a sweater; or asks for that cup of tea; or suggests a certain activity. It is not that the love of their life has become predictable, but rather, the partner has become so sensitive to the other's needs and desires, that they respond automatically to the slightest inference or almost unnoticeable "behavior request".
GOD'S SPECIFIC WILL
Many Christians, especially new Believers, often struggle with the question: "What is the will of God for my life?" The specific will of God can only be determined by actually spending time reading the scriptures; praying in tongues; worshipping the Father, and getting to know Him, to the same extent that long term couples have grown super sensitive, to the needs and desires of each other. A huge part of this process, is finding out who we are in Christ; which can be determined by taking all the "in Him"; "in whom"; "through Him", and "in Christ" scriptures, in the epistles, and meditating them [i.e., speaking them out loud, under your breath, and praying in tongues over them, until they become a reality to you].
You do this by saying, out loud:
"I am more than a conqueror through Christ, that loves me" (Rm.8:37)
"I have the measure of faith" (Rm.12:3)
"I have the Spirit of God, who reveals to me all the things that my Father, has prepared for me" (1Cor.2:9)
" I know all things that He has freely given to me"(1Cor.2:12)
"God, my Father, has given me a job to do and Jesus has called me" (1Cor.7:17)
"I praise my Father, for He always causes me to triumph in Christ" (2Cor.2:14)
"I am chosen in Him, before the foundation of the world" (Eph.1:4)
"I am accepted in the divinely loved One. I am His favorite" (Eph.1:6)
"I am redeemed through His blood. I am forgiven" (Eph.1:7;Col.1:14)
"I am qualified to share in His inheritance" (Col.1:12)
"I am delivered from the authority of darkness, and I have been translated into the kingdom of the Son of His love" (Col.1:13)
WHO YOU ARE
The above texts are just a limited sampling of the numerous attestations to who you are in Christ. The next step is to discover who Christ is in you [i.e., the specific plan; purpose; calling for your life].
''GENERAL'' WILL of GOD
The WORD, is HIS WILL
Both Matthew and Mark state that "...whoever does the will of my Father in heaven, this is my brother and sister and mother" (Matt.12:50; Mk.3:35).
When Luke recounts the same incident, he says, "...my mother and my brothers are these, the ones hearing the word of God, and doing it" (Lk.8:21).
In other words, these parallel passages should forever settle the question in your mind, as to what is the 'general will of God', since the scriptures specifically state that His word is His will.
JESUS is GOD'S WILL
JOHN 6:38 "...I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me". (Whatever the scriptures say, and whatever Jesus did, is FOREVER the will of the Father).
1 JOHN 3:8 "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil".
ACTS 10:38 "How God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him".
FATHER'S WILL
Everything Jesus did, is the Father's will for you. Everything the scriptures say, is the Father's will for you.
You are God's Best and God's Best is Yours
