Unrestricted Access (Part 1) (Ephesians 2:18; 3:12; Romans 5:2)

Certain communities are gated or only allow members access to their club or to their group, and if you are not a member, or part of the community, you have to come with someone who already is, whether it is to a gated community, a club, or golf course, and without membership, or going with someone who already has membership, you cannot gain access.

Ephesians 2:18 states that we have access in the Holy Spirit, to the Father, or into the presence of the Father. The word for 'access' is the Greek word (prosagoge), 4318, which is only used in all of scripture [old and new testament], in Romans 5:2; Ephesians 2:18; and Ephesians 3:12.

The word was commonly used for the audience or right of approach granted to someone, to high officials or kings. It also contains the idea of this freedom of access being granted through the assistance or favor of another. In other words, because of what someone has done for another or who that person is, the other person or persons seeking access, are granted this access to royalty or persons of high authority and position, not on their own merit, but on the merit of another who has granted them this position of highest privilege.

What is unique concerning this noun is that it is in the 'present tense intransitive', meaning that this access we have, is right now, present tense, and it is an ongoing, continual privilege. It also carries with it the idea of 'familiarity' with the person to whom we have gained access, or a certain degree of intimacy that has been given, with zero contempt or disrespect asserted.

We possess, right now, because of what Christ has done, and who He is to us, unlimited and unfettered access to the throne room of the Father to enjoy unrestricted intimacy, 24/7, at any time that we choose to exercise this highest privilege.

You are God's Best and God's Best is Yours
