Success (Joshua 1:8)

Someone once said, and it has been repeated multiple times, that 'success is a journey, not a destination'. It is the process we go through, achieving some measure of fulfillment, on the road to what we call "success".

JOSHUA 1:8 provides the scriptural formula for success, stating:

"THIS BOOK OF THE LAW

 [the scriptures],

SHALL NOT DEPART OUT OF YOUR MOUTH

[where the word depart means to leave it's proper place, emphasizing that the 'proper place' for God's word is to be speaking it out of our mouth],

BUT YOU SHALL MEDITATE

[mutter under your breath, over and over again, with one meaning being to bring back up to the surface and go over it again],

 IN IT DAY AND NIGHT

[if it's not day, then it is night; meaning all the time],

THAT YOU MAY OBSERVE TO DO

[receive understanding and wisdom, (i.e., 'observe'), with the idea being to 'see' something you hadn't before, in order to 'do' what the scripture says],

ACCORDING TO ALL THAT IS WRITTEN IN IT

[whatever the scriptures, by the Holy Spirit, instructs you],

FOR THEN YOU SHALL

['you shall', the responsibility is with us],

MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS

[you shall be successful in what you do],

AND THEN YOU SHALL HAVE

[possess],

GOOD SUCCESS

[the benefits of mulling the scriptures over and over again, in your mind and in your mouth, until they become revelation to you, and the Word produces in your life, the positive results of healthy relationships; physical health; and financial well being].

You are God's Best and God's Best is Yours
