Spiritual Law (Part 5) (Matthew 17:20; Luke 1:37; Isaiah 55:7-11; Galatians 3:26; 1 Corinthians 2:9-14)

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE !
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE !

Impossible - Possible

In Matthew 17:20, it says, "...Jesus said to them, 'Because of your unbelief [lack of faith]: for verily (amen) I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove from here to another place; and it shall remove to another place; and nothing shall be impossible to you' ".

Impossible

The word 'impossible' is the Greek word (adunateo) [ἀδυνατέω, 101]. It is only found here and in Luke 1:37, "...with God nothing shall be impossible", [or, as an alternate rendering, "...no word [rhema] from God shall be void of power"]. It is interesting that these are the only two passages that reference this verb, in this form.

Speak

In relation to one another, the scripture is saying that God's spoken word renders anything, and everything, possible, and that when we have faith, in what God has said, our words too, render the impossible; possible. Literally, nothing that God has spoken, or said to you, is impossible, and none of your words are void of power; in other words, they produce what you say, when you speak what God has already given you the authority to say, and you speak His words, out of your mouth.

Old Testament Testimony

Isaiah 55:7-11 says, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon (7). 'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways', says the LORD (. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts (9). For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater (10): so shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper where I sent it (11)".

Born of God

This passage was written about those who were not 'born again', who did not have the Spirit of God, living on the inside of them, and who God calls, 'the wicked' and the 'unrighteous'. We are those who are born of God; we are not 'the wicked', we are 'the righteous', the sons and daughters of God, born of His Spirit, and we are "...all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus" (Gal.3:26).

His Spirit

1 Corinthians 2:9-14 says, "...eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him (9). But God has revealed (them) to us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God (10). For what man knows the things of a man, except the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God (11). Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God (12). Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual (13)".

Nothing Impossible!

God's thoughts are our thoughts and His ways are our ways, when we listen to the Spirit of God, on the inside of us, and think His thoughts and walk in His ways, then the words that we speak, by faith, are His words, from His thoughts, and the words out of our mouth do not return void, but they accomplish what He pleases and prosper in what He sent them to do, when spoken out of our mouth, and nothing is impossible to us.
