Ephesians 1:19-20 says, "...according to the energy [(energeian),1753] of the might of His strength, which He operated [(energesen), 1754] in the Christ, having raised Him from out of the dead ones, and seated Him at His right (hand) in the heavenlies,.."
The origin of our English word "energy", always means "power that is active", and it was operated, or energized, in Christ. It performed two functions:
1) raised Him from among and out of the "dead ones", meaning, not just that He was dead, but there were all kinds of dead persons, but He specifically, was taken out from among the dead ones, and raised up.
2) seated Him as king, in the position of authority, above all other spiritual beings, of any stature or position; He rules over all.
The word is "active power", meaning that it is still operational and functioning with full energy, in Christ Jesus. Lazarus, too, was also raised from the dead, but died again. The supernatural energy and force of life, in Christ, is ongoing, continuous in it's working. Christ is forever alive, from among the dead ones. He will never die again, because of this divine power, and He is forever in the position of ultimate and supreme authority over all other potential power and authority.
