If it's Not Good, It's Not God (Psalm 34:8; Matthew 19:17; James 1:17; Acts 10:38; 1 John 3:8; 1 Peter 5:9; James 4:7; Ephesians 4:27)

CONCEPT of GOD

The concept you have of God will totally shape your behavior, and your willingness to interact with Him, as well as determining how you see yourself, in this vast universe.

GOD is a GOOD GOD

Oral Roberts came out with the declaration, in the 1950's, that "God is a Good God", and preachers got mad at him. The very idea of making such a statement was a bombshell, blasting away years of religious thinking and presupposition, even though there is ample evidence from the scriptures, that these preachers claimed to believe in, that "God is a Good God".

PSALM 34:8, "Oh, taste and see that the LORD (is) good..."

MATTHEW 19:17, Jesus answered the ruler saying, "...(there is ) none good but one, (that is) God..."

JAMES 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning".

ONLY GOOD

God does not change, and He only gives good things, because He doesn't have any bad things to give. He is good.

THE BIG LIE: "Everything that comes into my life is either directly from God, or He has allowed it, and therefore He has some hidden purpose, which I may never know until I get to heaven".

BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY

This has got to be one of the biggest deceptions that the devil has ever duped the majority of the church into believing. This is actually Buddhist philosophy, where everything has a purpose, and relegates people into a passive acceptance of every tragedy; every pain; every sickness; every evil; as somehow having a purpose, all under the all encompassing heading of the "Sovereignty of God", and there is no point in resisting, what is actually the devil, because if it is your fate to be sick; you will be sick; if it is your fate to have a child die early in life; there is no sense resisting the "will of God"; if it is your fate to live in poverty, there is no point in trying to free yourself from that bondage, because you will be messing with the will of God. It is the Doris Day Syndrome of "Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be".

PEOPLE CONTROL

In the city of Ephesus, the demonic idol of Diana, also know as Artemis, wore a zodiac around her neck, symbolizing that she controlled the stars, which also controlled the lives of people, who worshipped her, believing that she would grant them a positive outcome in their life, because she controlled their fate.

DOCTRINE of DEMONS

Whether Buddhist philosophy, or worship of the demoniac cult of Diana, of the Ephesians, the concept that everything that comes into your life is from God, or somehow "allowed" by Him, is a fallacy worthy of the doctrine of demons that spawned it.

SICKNESS & DISEASE

Many believe that sickness and disease is somehow God's method of "teaching" them something, even though the scripture clearly states:

ACTS 10:38, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit, and with power; who went about Doing Good, and healing all that were OPPRESSED of the devil; for God was with him".

POWER PACKED

This is a power packed verse, speaking to this gross misconception about the Father.

ANOINTING

God anointed Jesus: The anointing was for a specific purpose, whether it was a prophet; priest; or king that was anointed.

DOING GOOD

God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, are all identified as working together for a singular purpose: "doing good"

NOT GOOD

Sickness and disease IS NOT good, and therefore not of God, but is an oppression of the devil.

DESTROY

The scripture declares, "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8).

SON of GOD

John refers to Jesus, not as the Son of Man, or Jesus of Nazareth, but as the Son of God, meaning not only His origin, but emphasizing that He was doing the will of His Father.

TAKES AWAY

Everything that takes away from your life; disparages you; demeans; destroys; whether sickness; disease; circumstance; or even well meaning religious people, scripturally misinformed, is not of God, but is from Satan, the enemy of your soul.

ABUNDANT LIFE

Jesus said, "The thief comes not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have (it) more abundantly"

GOD'S BEST

In any area of our lives where it doesn't evidence the "abundant life", we have allowed the devil to rob us from God's best and intended purpose.

1.RECOGNIZE

Recognize that God, our Father, and the devil, have not switched places. If it is not good, it is not God!

2.RESIST

Like Jesus, quote the scriptures, and resist the devil steadfast in faith (1 Peter 5:9). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7) [Not from Jesus, he will flee from you]. Neither give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27).

3.REVELATION

But first, get the revelation of every good thing that is in you, in Christ Jesus (Philemon 6). Know who you are in Christ, and who God, your Father is, in you; not just your authority, but your purpose and calling in Christ Jesus.

You are God's Best and God's Best is Yours
